There are a new strains of memory-resident spybots present on major news sites of the Internet.
Only a page view is required for installation. These trojans run in a hidden mode unknown to Windows Task Manager. Their CM consumption is very high, and they may carry no disk files or registry keys.
User-supported Spybot Search & Destroy has been updated to remove a variety of these threats, although they can only be removed, after detection, by a second full scan scheduled for pre-boot-up, prior to a bot's reloading.
The major system symptom is a very slow response time after an infected computer has been idle for several hours.
You can connect to safer-networking.org for a removal solution by pressing its logo, above, or visit URL http://www.safer-networking.org/
For your email and desktop antivirus protection, please obtain from our server Grisoft's AVG v8. ![]()
PS--Spybot S&D also has a valuable immunization protection mode. I recommend using this mode to prevent re-infection by thousands of ever-present threats.
TeaTimer, available with Spybot S&D, is a registry-protection lock best left to the experts. Unless you are aware of its operations and can unload it, it can cause some unwanted complications down the road.
—if you install, find your "startup" folder and copy into it a shortcut to maxmem.exe and it will load when you boot-up—
